In short

This site does not use cookies, does not track you and does not build a profile of you. There is no registration and no newsletter. We only ask for personal data if you yourself sign up to be notified when the app launches.

There are four things you should know about: the server's technical log, embedded videos, partner links, and the launch notification. The few paragraphs below describe them.

1. Server log

The website runs on the GitHub Pages service. When you open a page, the server automatically logs your IP address for security purposes. We have no access to this log and do not link it to anything.

• Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the website available and secure (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• Who processes it: GitHub B.V. (Prins Bernhardplein 200, 1097 JB Amsterdam) and GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, USA).

The data may also be processed in the United States; for this they rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

• How long: decided by the provider, which does not publish a fixed retention period.

2. Embedded videos and content

Some articles contain embedded YouTube videos. Until you start one, no cookie is placed on your device.

Once you start it, Google's own privacy policy applies to you from then on.

Two articles also contain other embedded content (a Google document and a manufacturer's image). When these load, your browser connects to the provider concerned, and your IP address reaches it in the process.

3. Partner (affiliate) links

Some links lead to external shops and tell the shop that you came from us. If you make a purchase, we may earn a commission from it.

While you are on our site, this does not collect any data about you. As soon as you click, you leave the website, and from then on the shop's own privacy policy applies. We do not receive any personal data about you from the shop.

4. Notification when the app launches

On the PrepperPapa app page you can enter your e-mail address so we can let you know when the PrepperPapa app is available to buy. We use the address solely for this one notification, and keep it until we have sent the launch notification or until you ask us to delete it at prepperpapa@gmail.com.

• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

5. What we do not do

No visitor analytics, no advertising or tracking cookies, no profiling and no automated decision-making. We do not collect names or phone numbers, we collect e-mail addresses only for the launch notification, and we do not pass on data for marketing purposes. That is why there is no cookie consent banner on the site either: there is nothing for you to allow.

6. Your rights

You can request access to the data concerning you, its rectification, erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and exercise your right to data portability. Write to the address above.

Apart from the e-mail address for the launch notification, we do not store any data that could identify you, so we can only act on other requests if you yourself give us something to go on. The server log is subject to the provider's own procedures.

7. If this changes

If analytics, advertising or a newsletter are added to the site later, this notice will be extended, and a cookie consent banner will appear as well. The date above shows when it last changed.
